The legendary Z28 where it belongs, just waiting for the race to start before pounding round the circuit, if only you could hear and feel the noise, epic ! ...

Yep 👍

That's a '70.5 Z-28 . . .

. . . powered by an LT-1 350. I saw a '69 Z-28 302 yesterday on the 118 Freeway - silver with black stripes. Driver was my age, reliving his teenage dreams. ;-)

The '69 -Z-28 small block 302...

I believe these original Z28s had duel quads and are the most desirable; Yes?

Not originally, Miki. There might've been TRACO 302s with cross-ram Holleys . . .

. . . back in the day but those would've been either dealer or customer installations. Pretty sure the original 302 was fed by a 780 cfm Holley. Now, ask me a Mopar question and I'll have a more definitive answer for you.

Actually, you're right! Just did a little research and sure enough . . .

. . . there were authorized dealer-installed dual quads, most likely on Edelbrock cross-ram manifolds. You know your Chevys, pal!

You got it 👌

Saw another legendary (at least in Germany) V8 racer driven in anger the other day and both the pace and noise were simply glorious 👌🏻 ...

Superb 👌

DTM was never the same. The Alfa 155 and Opel Calibra were fast but nothing again so epic 🤷🏻‍♂️

My favourite drivers back in the day were …

Hans-Joachim Stuck and Frank Biela.
